Mango

We offer mangoes year-round, either firm or as Ready-to-Eat (ripened). The most common sources are Brazil, Peru, Ivory Coast, Dominican Republic, Israel and Spain.

Mangoes originate from the greater Indian region, where historical records show production dating back to ancient times. They come from the tropical tree Mangifera indica.

Over the years, mango production has spread widely, resulting in dozens of varieties, of which Kent and Keitt are the most common. These varieties possess different organoleptic characteristics such as shape, color, taste, and texture.

The fruit reaches its desired ripeness when it softens and becomes particularly aromatic. To ripen a mango at home, place it in a fruit bowl alongside other fruits at room temperature.
