Our History
The heritage of our company traces back to 1959 with the establishment of Ch. Touron-M. Frances Co., a family enterprise in the Larissa region. The founding operation comprised a state-of-the-art poultry farm alongside extensive orchards cultivating peaches, apples, pears, and quinces.
1959
Founding of Ch. Touron- M. Frances Co.
Establishment of Agricultural and Poultry Unit CH.TOURON – M. FRANSES G.P. in Giannouli, Larissa, featuring pear, peach, and quince orchards, along with pioneering poultry facilities for that era.
1986
Founding of S.Touron
Foundation of the sole proprietorship S.TOURON, primarily focusing on import and trade of fresh produce and juices.
1987
Exclusive Representation of Agrexco Ltd
Exclusive representation and importation rights for Greece of Israel’s Agrexco Ltd (Carmel Brand)
1993
New Cooling Facilities
Relocation of refrigeration facilities to 222 Piraeus Street, near Rentis Central Market.
1999
Inauguration of New Offices
Establishment of company offices in owned premises at 41 Eirinis Ave. in Pefki, Attica.
2003
Founding of TOURON S.A.
S.TOURON transforms into a Corporation under the name TOURON S.A.
2007
New refrigeration facilities and logistics
Acquisition of new modern and spacious refrigeration facilities and logistics services in Aspropyrgos, Attica.
2008
Start of Contract Farming
Launch of contract farming program with selected producers across 10 growing regions nationwide.
2008
Opening an office in Israel
Opening of a Tel Aviv-based office specializing in the export of fresh fruits and vegetables from Israel, including peppers, avocados, citrus fruits, dates, etc. The office also manages the import and distribution of Greek produce to key account customers throughout the country.

New Cooling Facilities
Installation of modern electronic sorter in company warehouses in Aspropyrgos.
